With all the rain we had, a huge tree branch fell onto our house.

Couldn't get a chainsaw so my husband had to use a machete.

Slumber

One of my best friends spent the night and we had a 90s slumber party!

Watched nothing but 90s VHS movies, even Jerry Springer's Too Hot for TV.

Crashed out at 4am, then it started pouring and flooding.

Took my girls on their very first bike ride downtown.  

A few minutes in it started to rain.  We checked out Hemisfair Park, then it started to pour.

We were stuck at the Tower of the Americas for about an hour.  Epic fail.

I scanned over 200 strips of film, a lot of which I had forgotten about.

This one is an 8th grade slumber party, Circa 1998.

So where are they now?

Sheer, left, travels the world and helps kids learn english in third world countries.

Leanne, middle, plays keyboard for Neon Indian and tours the world too.

Jackie, right, is married and lives really close to me.

So I went to the Spurs game last night, drank way too much rum, and now I'm hungover.

Since I haven't left my couch, this is all for today.  The view through my window.

Neon Catch

I was playing catch in my back yard, I look over and see my friend playing catch 

in the street with her nephew.  We were just show offs after that.

Happy Mother's Day! I stopped by one of my best friend's house to meet her little boy.

We've been friends since 6th grade.  It's always nice to catch up with her, we always pick up 

where we left off.  Her little boy was the cutest, he's learning english and spanish,  

and is not even an yr and a half!

Zoo la-la

My husband surprised me with free tickets to an event at the zoo.

They had booths with free food, desserts, beer and wine from local restaurants.

Today was the unveiling of this new San Antonio public art display.

I got there late, but just right before they shut the generators off.

It was pretty cool to check out, but I kinda wish it was in a more frequented area. 

It's location is hanging from an underpass that is not a walking area, and to fully appreciate the projected shapes you have to almost be right under it.  Just my two cents. 

I'm really happy to have some art right around the corner though.

This is what an awesome day at South Padre Island looks like. Just perfect.

Cinco de Mayo

Took a beach trip to South Padre Island for Cinco de Mayo!

Hung out, drank plenty of rum and shot a lot of film.
