Found my Grandma's old recipe box and thought I'd give the banana nut bread a try.

It's nice to know that people still mail invitations, but this kinda freaked me out.

So I sent my husband out to Home Depot so we can work on the house today.  He ended up 

coming back an hour later with all these goodies for me: my fav bakery treats, iced coffee, 

and cute shorts.  Guess I'm doing something right.

While cleaning out the garage I found this awesome record player box with super old postcards.  Most of them are from my grandma & mom to my grandfather while they were visiting family in Hawaii, circa 1962.  It's great to read about the things they did.  There were more postcards from my uncles too, while in the Air Force.  I love discovering family history. What a treat!

Up early & had the best breakfast at La Madeleine.  Bacon, eggs, garlic & herb hash brown patty,

plus the most buttery, flakey croissant ever!

Afterwards we went to Home Depot & I felt like I was going to die!

Hottest part of the day + full + caffeinated = no bueno. Had to take a break.

Out for Blood

The only thing I absolutely hate are mosquitos. Truth.

Random day where we just got in the car and drove around town.  Checked out the fireworks at Six Flags from La Cantera & found this helmet that reminded me of Pee Wee Herman's.

Another nice evening in the backyard, this time playing SPINNER.

Fourth of July

Celebrated the 4th at home, BBQ, took out the ping pong table, & enjoyed the neighbor's fireworks.

Game Night

The car races were my favorite part. I was player two, against my hubby, and barely lost.

With our ticket winnings we got some awesome spoke lights for our bikes. Fun night!
